Just a
3-minute drive takes you to the belvedere of Santa Maria del Castello,
overlooking Positano (breathtaking view of inestimable beauty).
The villa is
located near some of the most beautiful paths of the Sorrento peninsula: path of the gods from
Agerola, the tese for Positano, Valle dei Mulini, Monte Comune path.
The
possibility of using the kitchen and a coffee pod machine available for guests
is available at no extra cost.
In addition to
paying the fare, the guest at check-out will be required to pay the manager the
amount of the Tourist Tax, due to the Municipality of Vico
Equense and equal to € 2 per person per day up to
7 days .

S. Maria del
Castello (670 m
above sea level), due to its strategic position as a pass between Vico Equense
and Positano, was for centuries an obligatory point of passage of people and
merchandise; the only alternative was the circumnavigation of the Peninsula pushing to Punta Campanella. Today it is a very
important crossroads for hikers.
For this
saddle passes the Alta Via dei Monti Lattari and can also be reached:
- Monte Faito,
Conocchia and the Molare (with ascent along their southern slope),
- Bomerano
(either climbing to Capo Muro and then descending viaPaipo, either descending
to Nocelle and going back along the Sentiero degli Dei),
- the Sorrento
area crossing Monte Comune and Monte Vico Alvano
- Positano
which is located at the foot of the rocky ridge on which Santa Maria del
Castello rests.
Between the
ridge and Positano there are still four traditional routes, two of which
descend to Corvo (junction between the Amalfitana state road and the
Montepertuso road) and two others pass through Montepertuso and then Grado.
These routes are all fairly easy and in good condition, with the exception of
Valle Pozzo.
On the hills
of Vicenza,
overlooking Positano, the village offers magnificent landscapes, from a unique
geographical position.

connections between Positano, Montepertuso S. Maria del Castello
S. Maria del
Castello (670 m
asl), due to its strategic position as a pass between Vico Equense and
Positano, was for centuries an obligatory point of passage of people and
merchandise; the only alternative was the circumnavigation of the Peninsula pushing to Punta Campanella. Today it is a very
important crossroads for hikers considering that it passes the Alta Via dei
Monti Lattari and that there are four traditional routes that descend to the
coast, all quite easy and in good condition, with the exception of Valle Pozzo.

From east to
west they meet:
the path of
Capo d'Acqua, which begins almost one km west of S. Maria del Castello,
departing from the main route 00 that goes towards Monte Comune. The trail ends
on the state road, a few meters from the junction of Montepertuso.
Le Tese,
undoubtedly the most popular route and also the one in the best conditions. The
slope is fairly constant and relatively gentle (between Corvo and the pass
there are almost 500m in altitude). Even this mule track starts west of S.
Maria del Castello, but only a couple of hundred meters away.
The path
of Valle Pozzo starts about 500
m north of the church, at the end of the flat section of
the road that goes towards Moiano and Vico. The shortcut to Moiano and the
trail to Capo Muro, Forestale and Molare (300) also depart from that bend.
From the
intersection (660 m)
cross the chestnut wood, merge into the valley and follow it until you get
close to the reservoirs

Gli ospiti avranno a disposizione un intero
appartamento di 70 mq, composto da una camera da letto con vista panoramica
arredata con un letto matrimoniale ed un letto per bambini, bagno con doccia, ampio
salone con divano e camino, cucina con accessori e stoviglie, macchinetta caffè
espresso con set di cialde utilizzabile (senza costi aggiuntivi) a proprio
piacimento, sala pranzo (aria condizionata per tutti i locali).
Tutti gli ambienti sono collegati con un
balcone panoramicissimo dal quale si accede ad un terrazzo con gazebo,
interamente a disposizione degli ospiti. Parcheggio auto in garage, wifi alta
velocità a 50 mega.

Altre cose da considerare
A solo 3 minuti d’auto si arriva sul
belvedere di Santa Maria del Castello, a picco su Positano (panorama mozzafiato
di inestimabile bellezza).
La villa è posta in prossimità di alcuni dei
più bei sentieri della penisola sorrentina: sentiero degli dei da Agerola, le
tese per Positano, Valle dei mulini, sentiero Monte Comune.
È a disposizione senza ulteriori spese la
possibilità di utilizzare la cucina e
una macchinetta a cialde per il caffè a disposizione per gli ospiti.
Oltre al pagamento della tariffa, l'ospite al
check-out sarà tenuto a pagare al gestore l'importo della Tourist Tax (Tassa di
Soggiorno), dovuta al Comune di Vico Equense e pari a 2€ a persona al giorno

e altri due passano per Montepertuso e poi Grado. Questi
itinerari sono tutti abbastanza agevoli e in buono stato, con la sola eccezione
di Valle Pozzo.
Sulle colline vicane, a strapiombo su
Positano, il borgo offre scorci paesaggistici magnifici, da una posizione
geografica unica.

Tutti i collegamenti fra Positano,
Montepertuso S. Maria del Castello
S. Maria del Castello (670 m. slm), per la sua
posizione strategica di valico fra Vico Equense e Positano, è
stato per secoli punto obbligato di passaggio di genti e mercanzie; l'unica
alternativa era la circumnavigazione della Penisola spingendosi fino
a Punta Campanella. Oggi è un importantissimo crocevia per gli
escursionisti considerato che vi passa l'Alta Via dei Monti Lattari e che
si sono ben quattro itinerari tradizionali che scendono verso la costa, tutti
abbastanza agevoli e in buono stato, con la sola eccezione di Valle Pozzo.

Da est a ovest si incontrano:
il sentiero di Capo d'Acqua, che ha
inizio quasi un km a ovest di S. Maria del Castello, dipartendosi
dall'itinerario principale 00 che va verso Monte Comune. Il
sentiero termina sulla statale, a pochi metri dal bivio di Montepertuso.
Le Tese, senz'altro l'itinerario più
frequentato ed anche quello in migliori condizioni. La pendenza è abbastanza
costante e relativamente dolce (fra Corvo e il valico ci sono quasi
500m di dislivello). Anche questa mulattiera inizia a ovest di S. Maria
del Castello, ma solo ad un paio di centinaia di metri di distanza.
Il
percorso di Valle Pozzo parte circa 500 m a nord della chiesa,
alla fine del tratto in piano della strada che va
verso Moiano e Vico. Da quella curva si dipartono anche la
scorciatoia per Moiano e il sentiero per Capo
Muro, Forestale e Molare (300).
Dall'incrocio (660 m) attraversare il
castagneto, immettersi nel vallone e seguirlo fino ad arrivare in prossimità
dei serbatoi dell'acqua. Qui si può:
- andare a sinistra e
raggiungere Montepertuso lungo un piacevole sentiero quasi tutto in piano;
- andare a destra e dopo una breve risalita
connettersi con Le Tese;
- scendere direttamente sulla strada, ma poi
la si dovrà seguire fino a Montepertuso (a monte)
o Corvo (a valle) in quanto non ci sono scorciatoie.
L'ultimo percorso (Forestale) da segnalare è
il più lungo e addirittura prevede una ascesa prima di scendere
a Montepertuso. Questo itinerario passa per la
caserma Forestale e per circa 2km segue il sentiero CAI 300.
Passando a destra del suddetto edificio di pietra e si scende fino alla
strada Montepertuso - Nocelle.
Il sentiero giunge a pochi metri dall'abitato
di Montepertuso, ma chi vuole andare verso Nocelle può percorrere un
sentiero secondario che per un po' segue il crinale e poi scende a sinistra
raggiungendo la strada a meno di 300 m dal ponte sul Vallone Porto.

go to the right and after a short ascent connect with Le Tese;

go straight to the road, but then follow it up to Montepertuso (upstream) or
Corvo (downstream) as there are no shortcuts.
The
last route (Forest) to signal is the longest
and even provides an ascent before descending to Montepertuso. This itinerary
passes through the Forestry barracks and for about 2km it follows the CAI 300
path. Going to the right of the aforementioned stone building and descending to
the Montepertuso - Nocelle road.
The
path reaches a few meters from the village
of Montepertuso, but
those who want to go to Nocelle can take a secondary path that for a while
follows the ridge and then goes left to reach the road less than 300 m from the bridge over
Vallone Porto.
